Sunday morning we attended a wonderful church service and sang Patriotic hymns. It felt so good to be reminded of what great freedoms we enjoy living in this country. That evening we went to the barn and painted our horses in Red, White and Blue. The kids love painting the horses!
On Monday morning we went to a Breakfast at the park with our Church and they had fun activities for the kids. There was Football, Softball and water fight going on with some of the “Big Kids!”
My kids brought little Macy dog along with us and participated in a little 4th of July parade with decorated bikes, scooters and strollers. One of the favorites was the Donut Chomp! Kids lined up to eat a Donut hanging from a string with their hands behind their backs. First to eat the whole Donut without it falling to the ground was the winner! I’m the proud Mom of the winner! LOL
My 3 younger ones loved the face painting. My youngest puppy I had to make a deal with to wash his face off at the end of the night because he loved his puppy face so much!
We were grateful to have caught a firework show put on by the neighbors on the 3rd. We were rained out on the 4th to go to Dahlonega to North Georgia College for a big firework display. The neighbors didn’t let us down though and it was nice sitting in the drive way.
We hope everyone had a wonderful and safe 4th of July celebrating the wonderful freedoms we enjoy!
